Weeks Pass!
Wow, been a bit under the weather AND busy AND filled, my life that is, over the past week.
I suffer from migraines, so last week was the week. I'm mucho better-o now, thankfully!
Work is picking up, as the weather gets warmer... AND WHAT'S UP WITH THE WEATHER, AGAIN THIS WEEK? Oy vey... global warming my ass!
My husband turned 37 this past weekend. What a fun birthday weekend we enjoyed together!
Saturday we ventured to the Taboo Sex Show at the Conexus Centre in Regina - by day -. We watched the UFC Fighting Championships - by night -.
Sunday, at the crack of 6:30am, I jumped around wishing my husband a happy birthday! We needed to be in Regina (again) for the Regina City Police Half Marathon which I retarded-ly signed up for in a relay group consisting of two other, equally retarded people :-D
We did great, btw.
The afternoon was shopping filled, movie time, and dinner out...
So, between the beginning of the week not feeling well, to working (finally) my ass off, to having a great time with my husband/friends/and my girls. I simply have not had time to blog.
Yeah, yeah, yeah thank me by bending over ;-P

Fitting In Fitness!
Why?
Cos I said so?!
Naw, here are just a few "reasons" why...
Did you know that regular physical activity can improve your mental health and outlook on life?
EVERY DAY ENERGY
Give you the energy to do the things you want to do such as spend quality time with friends and family.
MOOD MONITOR
Reduce feelings of stress, anxiety and depression
SOUND SLEEP
Improve your sleep, giving you the rest you need to enjoy daily activities - on the job and at home.
PEAK PERFORMANCE
Clear your head so that you can approach work refreshed and able to concentrate.
ENHANCED SELF-ESTEEM
Boost self-confidence by improving your strength, stamina, flexibility, appearance and sense of control.
And?
Anything else?
Pfffft, common there has to be more, right?!!
And of course, there are the potential physical benefits.
WEIGHT WATCH
Shed extra pounds and abdominal fat - the fat most closely linked to heart disease-and maintain a healthy weight.
HEART HEALTH
Reduce risk of heart disease, or improve physical functioning if you have had a heart attack or bypass surgery.
CHOLESTEROL COUNT
Increase HDL ("good") cholesterol and lower triglycerides.
CANCER CHECK
Reduce risk of colon cancer.
HANDLE ON HYPERTENSION
Lower high blood pressure and risk of stroke.
BLOOD SUGAR BALANCE
Control blood sugar (glucose) levels if you have, or are at risk for, diabetes.
BONE BENEFIT
Improve bone density, reducing the risk of osteoporosis and fractures as you get older.
Do I make myself crystal clear?
Thought so!
Have a sweat on me!

April Birthdays...
"The Pug is living proof that God has a sense of humor."
My friends mother and brother both have a birthday this month.
A friend of mine just celebrated her 48Th birthday.
Fellow blogger Erik jumped forward with a birthday this month.
My bestest friend's sister's birthday is on the 13Th, same day as my deceased grandfather.
My youngest will be 12 on the 15Th.
My husband's date of birth approaching quickly, April 20Th.
Happy 38Th for me on the 27Th! A friend back in high school had her son on the same day as my birthday; therefore I guess it's not just MY birthday, eh?!
And another friend turns the aging clock forward with her birthday on the 29Th of this month...

Random Gal, Mundane Thoughts!
Strawberries with a dab of honey for breakfast, mmmm, are a stellar beginning to any morning!
I'm grateful for my parents, after all without them, I wouldn't be here :)
The Biggest Loser, not into reality television, or much television programming, but I do enjoy this weekly show. I am always amazed at how hard they push themselves, how successful they feel about accomplishing crazy assed fitness routines whilst eating "correctly". When the scale tells them they have lost yet another 3 pounds for a total of 98 pounds, "HOLY SHIT!" escapes my mouth...
And this week my husband responded to my, "HOLY SHIT!" with a, "Yes, they've done great, but remember you...how much you've lost..."
It was a proud moment, as I sometimes forget, I too have lost well over 100 pounds. At one point I was a fart away from 200 pounds banished :)
However, my healthy ass likes a bit more "junk in the trunk" .. I'm totally good with that!
Figured out how to "work" the kms gadget gage in the car... Tee he hee.
The new fitness classes have begun. Walking and learn to run classes, twice a week. Not as many people signed up as typically; alas it was mucho fun motivating those women into doing something they not only thought they couldn't do, but being there watching them - being a part of their weeks success. Man, I love that feeling!
Just finished my solo jog/walk/thingy. Sweaty and feeling fine!
Have a busier ending of the week at my shop. Pedicures, manicures, waxing -
OH MY!
Last week I was asked to join in this Wellness Clinic on a reserve nearby. What a fantastic opportunity! I met so many down to earth, genuine, beautiful women.. A long day, well worthy of any efforts put out by me. I hope I'm honoured again next year!
Chilled, ready to shower shortly.. after a game of scrabulous ;-P
Hey, take care out there, drive safe, BOTH HANDS ON THE WHEEL!
